Soft poi bread and smoked choris on a wooden board

The story

A little Portuguese in the coast

Poi, choris and a few centuries of exchange: the Portuguese thread in Goan breakfast.

Goa's breakfast tables still carry a Portuguese accent. The poi, a soft, hollow, flour-dusted bread, came with the bakers who followed the ships. The choris, a spiced and smoked sausage, owes its name and its vinegar to the same journey.

On the menu

You will find them in a Portuguese omelette with smoked choris and onion jam, in choris on toast, and under almost every egg we serve, on char-grilled poi.

Same ocean, a few new flavours.
